Sunbonnet Sue Applique Quilt
This will be a 12 month sew along. We will explore all manner of machine and hand applique. Every month we will make a different block for the season and try different methods of applique.
Here is the list of supplies that you will need for each class:
- Sewing machine - it will need to have decorative stitching on it
- Pins, seam ripper, marking tool, Applique scissors (this helps make sure you have sharp cuts and even corners)
- [12] - 12.5" background squares (one for each month)
- Fabrics for Sue (Sue stands about 8.75" tall)
- Fabrics for each months theme
- Coordinating threads for Sue and her outfits
- Optional: iron and ironing mat (we have two in the room but if you have your own that will save time)
We will be providing your fusible each time. We will also provide you with the shapes you need for each months block. This ensures you have what you need for that months type of applique.
The cost for each month will be $21.00.
