Are you ready to turn a pile of beautiful fabric into a cozy masterpiece?

Join our beginner-friendly class and tackle the stunning Snowdrop quilt! This pattern is the perfect starting point: it looks intricate and impressive (so your friends will think you're a quilting genius), but it's built from simple, forgiving blocks that are easy to master (so you won't throw your sewing machine across the room.

What We'll Cover (and Laugh About):
  • Fabric Finesse: Learn how to select, press, and cut your fabrics with confidence. We’ll teach you the magic of the rotary cutter—the sharpest tool in the shed and arguably the most satisfying to use. (Warning: It can be addictive.)

  • The Quarter-Inch Quirk: Mastering the 1/4" seam allowance—the quilter's secret handshake! We promise to measure twice (or maybe three times) and sew once (and then probably rip it out and sew it again... it happens!).

  • Piecing for Peace: Assemble your beautiful strips into the modern, striking layout of the Snowdrop. We'll show you how to press your seams so your top is flat.

  • The Finishing Hug: We'll cover basic batting, backing, and the binding process—the final, glorious step that turns your fabric puzzle into a bona fide quilt.

Our Promise to You:

This is a judgment-free zone filled with supportive laughter and caring instruction. We know the learning curve can be steep, so we prioritize fun over perfection. By the end of this class, you won't just have a gorgeous, completed quilt top; you'll have the skills, the confidence, and a new community of friends who understand the overwhelming joy (and occasional existential dread) of spending hours alone with a needle and thread.

Come stitch with us! We can't wait to help you start your quilting adventure.

The Quilter’s War Chest: Supplies List

Please bring these items to class.

Item

Why You Need It (The Truthful Reason)

Sewing Machine in Good Working Order (Manual if you have it)

It's your trusty steed! Make sure you know how to thread it and wind a bobbin. (And yes, we will all say a quiet prayer to the bobbin gods before starting.)

New Universal or Quilting Needles

Fresh needles make your machine sing and prevent The dreaded crunch sound when sewing.

1/4" Presser Foot

This specialized presser foot is the secret weapon for perfect piecing. It ensures every seam is the exact width, so your blocks will actually fit together! (It takes the guesswork out of the most important measurement.)

Basic Sewing Kit

Fabric scissors, thread snips, Pins (Heat Resistant and Flower Head), Fabric marking tool, and a seam ripper. (Because who doesn’t love a date with Jack)

Neutral Thread

A good quality, light-colored thread (like light gray or cream) for piecing. It magically blends into almost everything.

Rotary Cutter

A 45mm or 60mm rotary cutter is standard. It's the fun, efficient way to cut—handle with care!

Acrylic Quilting Rulers

At least one long ruler (6 1/2" x 24" is ideal) for cutting strips, and a square or smaller rectangular ruler for trimming.

Iron and Ironing Mat

(We will have stations available, but if you have a small portable iron, it’s great for saving time!) Pressing is not ironing; it's the magical step that makes your quilt lie flat and look professional. (Thou Shalt Press, Not Iron.)

Notebook and Pen

For jotting down notes, measurements, or simply writing down new fabric shopping excuses.

Snowdrop Pattern Card
